In Ojmar we go much further, offering solutions that are integrated with access control, fitness equipment (Technogym, among others), payment systems, etc. Because a well-implemented technology facilitates management, increases security, controls user traffic, and saves time and consumables.
A good system manages to adapt to the reality of a facility and evolves according to the needs that arise, to be more efficient each day. The data it provides us with gives us a better understanding of the club and contributes to good planning of future centres.
The objectives are multiple: promoting fluid traffic, monitoring traceability, comfort… In short, the aim is to generate a positive experience in management and daily use, making the customer loyal.

To guarantee and optimise the high quality of products and processes in Ojmar, in 1999 it introduced a far reaching quality management system, which since then has been certified in accordance with the AENOR ISO 9001 quality standard.
Most of the OJMAR lock range has the quality certification issued by the prestigious German Institute for Certification L.G.A. This certificate guarantees that our locks have passed the most demanding quality standards as regards mechanical strength and corrosion.
We are aware that our business may generate harmful waste for the environment. Recycling the used materials is a priority for us.
Although the word ecology is currently fashionable, for us it has always signified respect for our surroundings.
Ojmar is also certified with the ISO 14001 international environment standard, which sets out the internationally recognised requirements for an environmental management system.

Innovation at Ojmar signifies always questioning the existing products and services, so encouraging creativity with the generation of new ideas to obtain a differential advantage that provides our clients with value.
Due to the every increasing technological requirements this challenge is faced by means of our active participation with Technology Centres in the Basque Country and with the collaboration of technology associates in the USA and Europe.
As a result, of these collaborations, projects with a marked technological and innovative character have been carried out, backed by several programmes such as the CDTI and the PROFIT.
PLATRÓNICA project, development of an electronic board for locks, has been jointly financed by the Ministry for Industry, Energy and Tourism in the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2013-2016.

Francisco Ojanguren and Basilio Marcaide partner, laying the foundations of Ojmar.
Ojmar was established as a Private Limited Company in Eibar, Guipuzcoa, devoted to manufacturing weapons.
Ojmar was established as a Public Limited Company. It started to manufacture locks and bolts.
1955 - 1970
During this period, Ojmar became specialised in manufacturing locks for cars, lorries and motorcycles.
1970 - 1998
After the crisis in the car manufacturing sector, Ojmar developed a line of locks and locking systems for furniture. During this period, Ojmar underwent a big growth with sales to over 40 countries around the world.
Ojmar moved to a new plant in Elgoibar. This move marked the start of a new management era with the design and introduction of the Ojmar 2000 Strategic Plan and with the EFQM Model as the reference for Total Quality Management. Likewise, in the framework of the diversification and development policy undertaken by Ojmar, it launched a new range of mechanical and electronic locks for Leisure centres.
During this period, Ojmar consolidated the generation change that had been happening since 2006.
In the framework of the New Strategic Plan, Ojmar developed and started up new actions with a view to strengthening the ones which currently constitute the company's mainstays: its human team, innovation and product development and new business lines, production and development capacity, international expansion and Ojmar brand image.
In line with these objectives, the commercial strategy was redesigned in three main businesses: Furniture, Leisure Industry and Distribution."
AS A RESULT OF OUR CONSTANT WORK AND CONCERN FOR ADOPTING THE BEST CORPORATE PRACTICES, DIFFERENT ORGANISATIONS HAVE AWARDED THE EFFORTS MADE BY OJMAR.
